History of Shri Ram Bhoomi of Ayodhya
According to Ramcharitramanas, Shri Ram Bhoomi is of Ayodhya. It was a
very beautiful city. The layout of the city was already well defined, with
temples and large buildings at various places along with gardens. There was no
shortage of water due to Sarayu river, the economy was also very strong. Soon
the traders came and started selling there. The market was always full of
customers. This city was a prominent center of arts, crafts and cultural
activity. Many scholars and saints also stayed here, hence there were strong
connections of education and spirituality here. Ayodha was one of the greatest
cities in the world at that time. But would you believe that today, after
thousands of years, thousands of crores of rupees have been invested and
Ayodhya is being restored to its lost glory and is being transformed into a
world class city.
Shree Ram
Mandir Featuristic that every one should know about it
The most crucial part of Ayodhya's transformation is Shri Ram's temple.
Anyone who sees its features will be mesmerized. Ram Mandir is being built in
Nagara style according to Vastu Shastra. The height of the temple is going to
be 161 feet, width is 250 feet and length is going to be 380 feet. There will
be a total of 3 floors in the temple and the height of each floor will be 20
feet. There will be 44 gates and a total of 392 pillars, in which idols of gods
and goddesses will be carved. According to Nagara style, the temple is being
built on a Jagati platform. There are 32 stairs 16 feet high for entry. There
are also provisions for ramps and lifts for the disabled and elderly. On the
opposite side of the entrance is the Garbhagriha where the idol of Ram Lala is
installed. There will be 5 mandapas between Garbhagriha and the entrance. The
first Kudu Mandapa, the second Nritya Mandapa, and the third Ranga Mandapa are
one after the other. Kirtan mandap and prayer mandap will be on the two sides
of the mandap.
Mandaps are basically big halls where prayers, kirtan and other rituals
are performed. A mountain like structure is built on top of each mandap, which
is called Sikhar, and the highest peak of the temple is built on top of
Garbhagriha. 2400 feet long and 14 feet wide rectangular boundaries will be
built on all four sides of the Ram temple, which is called a park. Temples of
Suryadev, Maa Bhagwati, Ganpati and Lord Shiva will be built at the four
corners of the park. A temple of Maa Annapurna will be built on the northern
side and a temple of Hanuman ji will also be built on the southern side. The
complete temple complex including the Ram temple and the remaining areas is
around 70 acres. But 30 percent of these 70 acres have construction areas, the
remaining 70 percent have trees. Whose main objective is environment and water
conservation.
Ramayana
Characters is already shown here in the Ram Mandir temple
In this temple complex, prominent characters associated with Ramayana
like Maharishi Valmiki ji, Maharishi Vasishtha, Maharishi Vishwamitra,
Maharishi Agastya, Nishadraj, Mata Shabri and Goddess Ahalya will also be
created. Many facilities have also been provided for the devotees, like lockers
facilities for 25000 people, hospital facilities have been provided. Naturally
logs from different parts of the country and world will come. Therefore, Ram
Mandir Trust has decided to form a team of language experts, who will assist
the devotees who speak different languages of India. At the same time, these
foreign experts will also help in attracting visitors who speak the language.
This Ram temple built in Ayodhya is the third largest temple in the world.
This is why
Ayodhya is known for its temple town of India
The most important pilgrimage site for Hindus all over the world. After
the opening of the temple, 3 to 5 lakh visitors are expected to come to Ayodhya
every day, and hence initiatives have been taken to reach people to Ayodhya.
Firstly, Rs 240 crore was spent on building Ayodhya Dham railways junctions.
All the facilities like washrooms, foodplaza, waiting halls, escalators and
lifts are available in these three-storey railway stations. Most special is the
design of the stations, which is inspired by the temple itself. Two shikharas
of Nagara style have been placed on the top of the buildings. And the top of
the central dome is inspired by the crown of Lord Ram. On December 30, 2 new
Amrit Bharat trains and 6 new Vande Bharat trains were also launched from these
stations. Overall, Ayodhya Dham railway stations are no less than airports. We
have already talked about the airport, now let's talk about Ayodhya's brand new
international airport. Like railway stations, the design of airports is also
inspired by Ram temple. The airport has been named Maharishi Valmiki
International Airport after the creator of Ramcharitramanas.
These
airports look so traditional from the outside, but are as modern as you walk on
them. Airport premises have modern features like fountains, rain water
harvestings and solar power plants, water and sewage treatment plants. Due to
these features, its airports have received GRIHA 5 Star ratings and
environmental sustainability. The special thing about the airports is that its
interiors depict the life of Shri Ram through local arts and paintings.
Basically, those who land here will feel that they have entered the city of
Shri Ram. The aim of the airports is to cater to 10 lakh passengers every year.
Here operations have already started, work on road infrastructure is also going
on at a rapid pace. To improve the national level connectivity of Ayodhya, Ayodhya-Jagadishpur-NH-330
Highways and Ayodhya-Akbarpur-Baskhari-4-Lane Highways are also being built. A
70 km long ring road is being built around Ayodhya by investing approximately
Rs 4,000 crore. Ram path, Lakshman path, Dharma path, Bhakti path, Shraddha
path and Brahman path are being built to provide connectivity to Ram temple
inside Ayodhya.
Many New Objectives taken by the
Government for the Visitors Stay in the Ayodhya
A
world class bus station is also being built with a budget of Rs 400 crore. In
many districts of UP including Ayodhya, Electric Buses are also going to be
introduced. After Railways, Airways and roadways, let us now talk about water
ways. Apart from all these, Ayodhya can also be reached by water route. PM Modi
is going to launch UP's first and India's second water metro in Ayodhya on 22nd
January. After the openings, 2 water metros will operate from Ayodhya to
Varanasi. 50 people will be able to travel at a time in Inn Air Conditions
water metro. The objectives of Inn Water Metro are to give people a unique
travel experience at very affordable prices. With all these initiatives, people
will come to Ayodhya, and it will become much easier to commute to Ayodhya. And
where will these people who come from spring stay in Ayodhya…?? Well, for this
also the government has already been making tent cities at various places in
Ayodhya. The objective of some tent cities is to accommodate thousands of
people at once at very affordable prices. So some tent cities have been set up
to give people a luxury experience.
Along
with tent cities, UP government also plans to add 25,000 hotel rooms in
Ayodhya. Land auctions of 1000 acres have been done for hotel constructions.
From affordable to 5-star hotel chains, Ayodhya has seen a tourist boom and has
started building hotels here. Like Oyo wants to add 1000 hotel rooms to
Ayodhya. Taj Hotel has signed agreements for two hotels. Marriott
International, Sarovar Hotels and Wyndham Group have also started construction
of hotels in Ayodhya. And Radisson has already opened its park in the hotel.
Finally, Dharamshala, home stays, and guest houses will also be made available
for budget travelers. But all these development projects are just beginning.
The government's vision is to make Ayodhya a global Spiritual Capital. To
present the culture and traditions of India beautifully in front of the people,
and its origin lies with the entry of Ayodhya.
Ayodhya Gained their own Significance
after 500 years
Grand
entries are being made on all the main highways leading to Ayodhya, till now
the plan of total 6 gates has been approved. And the design of their gates is
also inspired by the temple. When you look at it, you will feel that you have
entered the temple town of India. These gates are also named after the
characters of Ramayana, Shree Ram Dawar, Lakshman Dawar, Hanuman Dawar, Bharat
Dawar, Jatayu Dawar and Garuda Dawar. And world class facilities like big
parking lots and restaurants will also be available near the gates. After this,
a temple museum is also being built in an area of about 50 acres in Ayodhya.
The objectives of these museums are to make the visitors understand the history
of all the major temples of India. Like…after all, why were temples built at a
particular place….?? What are the philosophy and methods of our temple
constructions? What are the ways of worship there? All this will be understood
here. Ayodhya aims to inspire visitors of every age group with the life of Shri
Ram. That's why Indian versions of Disney Land are also being made in India,
which will be named RAM Land. Here the story of Shri Ram Ji will be told using
technology. The locations mentioned in Ramayan will be recreated in the same
manner. There will also be ultra modern rides, experiences and entertainment
options. Basically, here people will get a blend of education and
entertainment. Apart from this, the statue of Shri Ram is also being built in
Ayodhya, which will be the tallest statue in the world. Currently the tallest
statues in the world are Gujarat's Statue of Unity, whose height is 790 feet.
But after completion of 823 feet statues of Shree Ram ji, the record of Statues
of Unity was also broken.
Many Project that will be planned to
redeveloped Ayodhya to gained its glorify
Many
projects have also been planned on the Sarayu river that flows through Ayodhya.
For example, Sarayu river front is being completely redeveloped at an expense
of Rs 300 crore. During the day you can also experience 2 solar powered mini
cruise ships in Sarayu. These vessels will be named Ramayana Vessels and will
give people a luxury experience. Cruise Ride will start from Guptar Ghat and
will end at Naya Ghat after covering Raj Ghat, Lakshman Ghat, Ram Ghat,
Lakshmani Ghat. Basically this whole will cover the history of Ayodhya.
Delicious food, folk songs and dance and other facilities will also be present
in the cruise, and house boat on Chal ke Sarayu river is also being planned.
People in Ayodhya will also be able to celebrate Deepawali. Which is naturally
celebrated in the grandest way all over the world. Like around 25,000
volunteers gathered in Depot before the Diwali of 2023 and together they lit
more than 22 lakh candles on 51 ghats, which is a Guinness world record in
itself. And along with this a grand laser show was organized, and a beautiful
drone show was also organized. Hence, we hope that moving forward the scale of
these celebrations will increase even more. Along with big projects, small
details are also being focused on to make Ayodhya a special experience.
The
main roots leading to the temple are there and façade controlled guidelines
have been brought in. So that the buildings there follow the temple theme, the
buildings have been painted a yellow saffron colour. And the shutters of the
shops have been painted with symbols like Swastik and Tripund. Paintings
inspired by Ramayan are also being made on flyovers and buildings walls. Along
with this, every effort has been made to give a traditional look to Ayodhya
through thematic street lighting and sculptures.
Ayodhya became the Modern City
because many exponential growth is seen there
All
these projects of Ayodhya will glorify India's ancient culture and tradition.
But along with traditions, it is being maintained that Ayodhya should become a
modern city, in which Ayodhya (UP) is being made the first Solar City. There is
a darkness behind it also. Lord Ram is considered Suryavanshi. Meaning they
belong to Sun's dynasty. According to him Ayodhya became the capital of
Suryavansha. Due to this, UP Government has visions that all the electricity in
Ayodhya should come from Surya. And that is why Ayodhya is being converted into
a solar city. Heritage sites, 60+ government buildings, schools, public
transport are part of the initiative by using solar power. Purified drinking
water will be supplied to kiosks, shops near the temple, boats on Sarayu river
and around 10000+ houses. To assist tourists, solar trees will be planted in
the city's parks, bus stops and railway stations. These trees will have solar
panels installed on their branches and will also have LED lights. There will
also be facilities for charging electronic equipment in its niche. Apart from
this, Ayodhya has also been included in the Safe City Project of UP Government.
This means that many initiatives will be taken like 1000+ CCTV cameras and
modern control rooms in the city, panic buttons in police booths and buses to
handle complaints of women.
Finally
Ayodhya is being transformed into a modern city by using technology in areas
like city planning, waste management, free wifi and digital payments. Due to
all these projects, Ayodhya is becoming a world class city. Due to this rapid
development, only Ayodhya Puri UP's economy will see a positive impact. Already
thousands of jobs have been created in Ayodhya for construction workers,
guides, hotels staff and drivers etc. Auto taxi drivers, local shopkeepers and
small hotels are all experiencing business boom. And real state prices have
increased by up to 10 times. The revival of Ayodhya is a very big movement for
India, a proud movement. But the significance of Ayodhya was not limited to
India. Every street, pasture, buildings, museums, and other things of Ayodhya
will tell the story of the ancient culture and traditions of India.. In such a
way that people from all over the world will be drawn there… So it is natural
that the whole world will know the culture of India. We will continue to know
about it…and the whole world will recognize the great culture of India, the
respect for India will increase in our country, which will ultimately see
exponential growth in the soft power of India over the world…
